Little Retreat

Situated in the picturesque village of Upwey, Little Retreat is a converted, detached property benefiting from a private driveway and gardens offering privacy and seclusion. The accommodation at Little Retreat comprises of an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner equipped with fridge, washing machine, flat screen TV, DVD player, table and chairs for two and French doors leading out to a balcony complete with table and chairs for al fresco dining. The bedroom has a double bed and the bathroom has  bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet.

Outside, there is the decking and a pretty lawned garden area with mature trees and flower borders. There is off street parking available.

Upwey

Formerly a village in its own right, Upwey is now a suburb of Weymouth, approximately 4 miles north of the town centre. The village has several notable buldings including a 13th century church and a Manor house.

To the north of the village lie the chalk ridge of the South Dorset Downs. At the foot of these lies the River Wey which then flows through the village. The source, known as the Upwey Wishing Well has been a tourist attraction from Victorian times, and remains so to this day with a tea room on the site and beautiful water gardens.

Upwey is very picturesque with the Old Mill on the banks of the river and with the beautiful countryside surrounding the village you could easily forget that Weymouth is just 4 miles away. There is no need to travel to Weymouth for a bite to eat either as The Old Ship Inn and The Riverhouse Inn do an admiral job.
