Home Waters

Located on the edge of Portland Harbour, Home Waters is on the southerly tip of Weymouth just before the causeway to Portland. Smallmouth Bay is a small, sandy beach just 2 minutes away, or a little further away lies Sandsfoot beach making home waters a great choice for the family beach holiday.

The ground floor accommodation comprises of lounge with twin sofas, armchair and flat screen television, Playstation 3 which then allows you to play Blue-Ray, DVD and CDs. Home Waters also benefits from WiFi throughout. The dining room has a circular table and chairs and double doors leading out to the garden. The kitchen is accessed via an arch and has fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a downstairs cloakroom with hand basin and toilet.

The first floor had bedroom one, a kingsize double, bedroom two is a twin and bedroom three is a single. The family bathroom has bath with power shower over, hand basin and toilet.

Outside there is a fully enclosed patio and decked rear garden with table and chairs. There is parking for one car accessed through arch 2.3m high x 6m wide. Bed linen is inclusive.

Wyke Regis

Wyke Regis is a village tucked away between Weymouth and Portland and is an ideal location to explore the local area, World Heritage Jurrasic Coastline and the Rodwell Trail.

A church has been at Wyke Regis since 1172 and the present church was built around the 1450's. Above the main door there is a carving of the Royal Arms of Henry VIII, said to have been brought here originally from Sandsfoot Castle which lies on the coast on the Wyke side of Portland Harbour and is well worth a visit, as is the cafe just a little further along from the castle.

The hub of the village is the square in what is called "Old Wyke" which hasn't really changed much in the last couple of hundred years and is every picturesque.

Wyke Regis lies along the Rodwell Trail, a track that follows the track bed of the Old Weymouth to Portland Railway line for just over two miles between Abbotsbury Road in Weymouth to just beyond Wyke Regis at Ferrybridge. It makes for a great walk with views to keep you company on route and is realtively level the length of the trail so a good way to get to Weymouth although there are a few beaches you could explore at the Wyke end too.
