Uplyme Cottage, located not unsurprisingly in Uplyme close to Lyme Regis, is a detached house with a wealth of country walks on your doorstep. Within the village there is a Post Office, village store and free house with a full and varied menu and drinks selection.
The accommodation at Uplyme Cottage comprises of a lounge/diner with TV with Freeview, DVD player, Hi-Fi and WiFi available as well as a dining table with chairs for four with double doors leading outside. Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' is the most westerly town in Dorset and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The town is famed for its fossils which can be found on its beaches and cliffs. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featued in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles as well as Jane Austen's Persuasion.

Set into the pavement, outside the museum, is an ornate example of Coade stone work, in the form of ammonites. The Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is also located in Lyme Regis in the former church where Mary Anning, famous fossil collector, dealer, and paleontologist was christened.
