The Hideaway is set in the heart of Lyme Regis with rooftop views across the town towards the famous Cobb and Lyme Bay. This first floor apartment is just 2 minutes walk from the seafront, shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs of the town, as is the golden, sandy beach. Once you park your car (in your own garage space) you can forget about it for the whole week if you wish as everything you could want is within easy reach by foot. The flat itself is a generous size and has been finished to a high standard. Lyme Regis itself has a wonderful seafront promenade, dotted with restaurants and cafes including celebrity chef Mark Hix's Oyster and Seafood restaurant but there is a wonderful choice of where to eat across the town. There are a wide selection of independent shops as well as an award winning museum, theatre, cinema and also sits on the South West Coast Path for some fabulous walks. If you pull yourself away from the Blue Flag sandy beach then take a walk up to the National Trust land at Golden Cap and take in the views.
The accommodation at The Hideaway comprises of an entrance with stairs leading to the first floor to a hallway leading to the lounge furnished with sofa bed, cushioned bench seating, TV, Skysat, Bluray player and WiFi. The kitchen also has a dining table with seating for four and is equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The bedroom is a comfortable double with en suite shower room with hand basin and toilet. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request.
There is an allocated off-road garage space for one car - please note that this is 200m from the property and parking is inside the garage only. There is a height restriction on the garage of 1.85m, the width is 2.2m and it is 5.1m long. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' is the most westerly town in Dorset and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The town is famed for its fossils which can be found on its beaches and cliffs. Lyme Regis has quite a history and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. These days, areas of interest include the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium which displays local fish and marine life from the Jurassic Coast. The Town Mill dates back to 1340 and is fully restored to working order and still produces flour which can be purchased from its shop. Lyme Regis Museum houses a large collection of local memorabilia, historical items and exhibits explaining the local geological and palaeontological treasures. Set into the pavement, outside the museum, is an ornate example of Coade stone work, in the form of ammonites. The Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is also located in Lyme Regis in the former church where Mary Anning, famous fossil collector, dealer, and paleontologist was christened.
