Area details
Broadwindsor is a small village set in the beautiful countryside of West Dorset. It has been a popular area for a long time with evidence of occupation dation all the way back to 43 AD. The setting in the middle of the village is of lovely cottages with period houses and the village also features the Broadwindsor Craft and Design Centre, featuring local crafts. The village square is much-photographed, especially King Charles Cottage, the place where King Charles II stayed the night September 22/23 after his flight from the battle of Worcester.

Broadwindsor has a village shop and has one pub which serves food throughout the week. A short trip in the car will bring you to an array of many different options.
