Dormouse Cottage is a quaint holiday cottage located in the village of Burton Bradstock. With period features such as beams dating back centuries and an Inglenook fireplace it is the quintessential village cottage in an ideal location for both country and coastal lovers. This can all be enjoyed by both you are one well behaved dog as Dormouse Cottage is pet friendly. The village is very well provisioned with the Three Horseshoes pub, the Anchor Inn and the Hive Beach Cafe with it's stunning sea views, a post office and village store and the cliff top Seaside Boarding House Restaurant. The beach itself, Hive Beach, is made up of very small shingle and coarse sand, which is lovely to walk along and hunt out a fossil. The beach will be familiar to anyone that watches Broadchurch as it has featured on several occasions. There is lots to explore close by including Bridport just over 2 miles away with its markets, the West Dorset Golf Club is just over 1 mile away, Lyme Regis with its sandy beach and famous Cobb 13 miles away with the county town of Dorchester and more sandy beaches at Weymouth 16 miles away.
The accommodation at Dormouse Cottage comprises of a sitting room with dining area with Freeview TV, DVD player, WiFi and dining table. The kitchen comes equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet. Up steep cottage stairs to a double bedroom with door through to a single bedroom.
Outside is a garden with patio area complete with furniture. There is roadside parking in the village around the cottage. This property does not accept children under six years old. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
With the stunning golden glow of the majestic sandstone cliffs and the shimmering radiance of Golden Cap, West Bay is the Golden Gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Formerly known as Bridport Harbour, West Bay lies just 2 miles away from Bridport and has a small harbour, 2 piers and 2 beaches one of which is part of Chesil Beach. West Bay was made famous as the location of a television series by the BBC called Harbour Lights, which aired in 1999 and 2000 and starred Nick Berry. At the top of the cliff lies the Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club with a full 18-hole course and 9-hole "pitch and putt" course in the summer season.
