It comes as no surprise that this quaint, thatched cottage is Grade II listed and retains many original features such as the large inglenook fireplace. You are just 6 miles away from West Bay and Bridport with its many pubs, restaurants and cafes and a twice weekly market selling local produce. Lyme Regis can tempt you to its sandy beaches or closer explore the sub tropical gardens at Abbotsbury. Pubs and restaurants are just 20 yards from the door.
The accommodation at Chestnut Cottage comprises of a living room with an open fire, Freeview TV, DVD player, stereo/CD player and WiFi. The kitchen/diner has a fully tiled floor and is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher with a washing machine and tumble dryer in a utility area. The bathroom has a shower over bath, basin and toilet. Up to the first floor where you will find three bedrooms arranged as two doubles and one twin. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request.
Outside there is a large enclosed garden with patio and furniture. There is a cycle store and a welcome pack will be awaiting your arrival. Chestnut Cottage accepts one well behaved pet which stays free of charge. There is on road parking and your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

With the stunning golden glow of the majestic sandstone cliffs and the shimmering radiance of Golden Cap, West Bay is the Golden Gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Formerly known as Bridport Harbour, West Bay lies just 2 miles away from Bridport and has a small harbour, 2 piers and 2 beaches one of which is part of Chesil Beach. West Bay was made famous as the location of a television series by the BBC called Harbour Lights, which aired in 1999 and 2000 and starred Nick Berry. At the top of the cliff lies the Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club with a full 18-hole course and 9-hole "pitch and putt" course in the summer season. There are lots of fishing trips available in the summer, including deep sea fishing. Boats can also be hired to row up the River Brit towards Bridport.
