Charmouth House is a real gem of a cottage, located in Charmouth and benefiting from magnificent sea and countryside views from its raised deck. Well equipped and with a charming interior, Charmouth Beach is just a 10 minute stroll down a quiet lane. Both the South West Coast Path and a series of countryside walks are available from the doorstep so a great area for walkers which can also be enjoyed by man's best friend as Charmouth House also accepts one well behaved pet. The house has an upside down design to maximise those wonderful views and is located close to the shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes of Charmouth. At the beach is the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre that provides information on the local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting. A guided fossil walk also meets at this location on a regular basis if you are after an experts view on how to find fossils in the area and how to do it safely.
The accommodation at Charmouth House comprises of a ground floor entrance leading to bedroom one which is a double, bedroom two, another double with en-suite shower room with basin, toilet and shower and bedroom three which is a bunk room. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet. Stairs lead to the first floor where there is a cloakroom. The living area is open plan and spacious with a generous sized kitchen equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The kitchen leads to the dining area with table and chairs for six which then leads to the living area furnished with sofa and armchairs, TV and WiFi. A door leads outside.
Outside is an elevated deck complete with table and chairs and those sea and countryside views. There is private parking to the rear of the property for one car. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Bridport is a market town on the Jurassic coast. The clay cliffs are abundant with fossils making the area popular with fossil hunters. Its most famous landmark is the view of the conical Colmers Hill with small clump of trees aligned with West Steet. Bridport has an arts centre, cinema, library and museum. The museum includes an extensive exhibition of the town's long history of rope-making and is open 10am - 5pm daily except Sunday from Easter until the end of October. Entry and access to all exhibitions is free. The Bridport Literary Festival has been running since 2005 and has played host to the industries biggest names. The Food Festival is held in late June at Asker Meadow and showcases locally produced foods for which the area is well known. The Food Festival week concludes with the Round Table Beer Festival. The town holds its annual carnival on the third Saturday in August.
