Buckfield Penthouse is a spectacular penthouse apartment in the heart of Lyme Regis with stunning sea views over Lyme Bay and the town. It is very spacious and well equipped making it an excellent choice for large families or groups of friends to holiday together in comfort. Served buy a lift, the apartment is on the top floor and it comes with two allocated parking spaces, a must in this area. Eating out is just a short walk from your door with a huge choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs and is home to celebrity chef Mark Hix's Oyster and Seafood restaurant. You have the long, sandy, family friendly beach to explore as well as a wide range of independent shops. For the more energetic there are plenty of walks including the South West Coast Path and the National Trust's Golden Cap.
The accommodation at Buckfield Penthouse comprises of an entrance hall leading to a large, open plan living area. The lounge had a TV with DVD player and WiFi is available throughout. The dining area has table and seating for eight and the kitchen is well equipped with electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There are two balconies with views across the town and Lyme Bay. There are three bedroom with bedroom one the master with king size bed and en-suite shower room with basin and toilet. Bedroom two is another kingsize double and bedroom three has been arranged as three single beds (third bed is a truckle bed and pulls out from under one of the single beds). The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet. A cot and highchair are available on request.
Outside there are community gardens with sea views and seating. There is allocated secure off-road parking for two cars. One small, well behaved pet is most welcome. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' is the most westerly town in Dorset and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The town is famed for its fossils which can be found on its beaches and cliffs. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featued in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles as well as Jane Austen's Persuasion.Read more
Lyme Regis has quite a history and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. These days, areas of interest include the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium which displays local fish and marine life from the Jurassic Coast. The Town Mill dates back to 1340 and is fully restored to working order and still produces flour which can be purchased from its shop. Lyme Regis Museum houses a large collection of local memorabilia, historical items and exhibits explaining the local geological and palaeontological treasures. Set into the pavement, outside the museum, is an ornate example of Coade stone work, in the form of ammonites. The Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is also located in Lyme Regis in the former church where Mary Anning, famous fossil collector, dealer, and paleontologist was christened.
