Boshill House is a spacious detached house in a spectacular, elevated rural position with views down the Axe Valley. Just 5 miles west from Lyme Regis and just 2 miles from the coast, Boshill House lies on the Dorset/Devon border so makes an excellent base to explore both these beautiful counties. Perfect for family get-togethers the house has six bedrooms, three of which are en-suite. The dining area will accommodate all 14 guests with ease and there is a large landscaped garden complete with sun terrace. There are a number of pubs within 1 mile of the property and some great beaches to discover, in fact, the whole of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast waits to be discovered.
The accommodation at Boshill House comprises of an entrance hall leading to a spacious lounge with TV and DVD player. The dining room has table and seating for 14 while the kitchen/breakfast room has an additional seating area complete with TV. It is well equipped with range cooker, additional double electric oven and hob, microwave, larder fridge and dishwasher with an additional fridge/freezer, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer in a utility room. Bedroom one can be found on the ground floor and is a twin with a shower room with toilet and basin close by. Up to the first floor and bedroom two is a double with an additional single bed and sitting area with TV and en-suite with shower, toilet and basin. bedroom three is a double, bedroom four a double also with en-suite sower, toilet and basin. Bedroom five has a 5ft double and twin single beds and bedroom six is a huge double with sitting area and TV, dressing room with cot and en-suite with bath, separate shower, toilet and basin. There is an additional family bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, toilet and basin.
Outside is a large, landscaped garden mostly laid to lawn with a sun terrace complete with furniture and barbecue. There is off road parking for 5 to 6 cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' is the most westerly town in Dorset and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The town is famed for its fossils which can be found on its beaches and cliffs. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featued in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles as well as Jane Austen's Persuasion.Read more
Lyme Regis has quite a history and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. These days, areas of interest include the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium which displays local fish and marine life from the Jurassic Coast. The Town Mill dates back to 1340 and is fully restored to working order and still produces flour which can be purchased from its shop. Lyme Regis Museum houses a large collection of local memorabilia, historical items and exhibits explaining the local geological and palaeontological treasures. Set into the pavement, outside the museum, is an ornate example of Coade stone work, in the form of ammonites. The Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is also located in Lyme Regis in the former church where Mary Anning, famous fossil collector, dealer, and paleontologist was christened.
