Wimborne has a large and well established market that runs on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the edge of the town to accommodate the size of the event. If you are holidaying in the area in November then visit the fireworks display which boasts to be the longest display in the county, an honour it has held since 2004. Every June the town hosts the Wimborne Minster Folk Festival which dates back to 1980. Highly regarded nationally, the annual event of traditional folf dance and song sees one of the largest gatherings of dance teams and musicians in the South of England and attracts over 20,000 people across the weekend.

Activities and Attractions

Notable attractions in the area include the Tivoli Theatre, a fully restored 'Art Deco' theatre dating to 1936 which now shows the latest films in its 500 seats.
